Out of more than 5,500 entries in 2017, 39 experts from the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen institution picked 1,405 Red Dot Award winners. The foundation also picked 102 Best of the Best winners, which are awarded for “groundbreaking design,” according to the official Red Dot website.
