Klipsch’s Heritage line is the crème de la crème when it comes to beautiful, audiophile-grade loudspeakers. And now the company is bringing the spirit and sound quality of its Heritage line to the home theater, with the Klipsch Heritage Theater Bar ($2,199).
It’s a passive soundbar with dedicated left, center and right channels. It boasts Klipsch’s exclusive Tractrix horn-loaded titanium LTS tweeters and Cerametallic woofers, which “translates to remarkable high-end response, greater extension, and lower distortion,” according to Emily S at Crutchfield.
Like others in its Heritage line, it’s handcrafted in Hope, Arkansas and has a real-wood veneer — you’re not going to find many soundbars as pretty as it. It’s also pretty customizable, too. You can order the soundbar in either American walnut, natural cherry, black ash, oak, ash or painted white finishes. You can also choose the color of the grill: black, gray, cream or taupe.
The Klipsch Heritage Theater Bar is designed to be wall-mounted. It also requires a separate AV receiver to hook up to your TV, and you’ll probably want to invest in a subwoofer — maybe one made by Klipsch? — in order to really pump the bass. For those interested, the soundbar is available for preorder now.
