Zodiac has done a great job of not only reviving the Super Sea Wolf vintage dive watch design, but making it feel fresh. Rather than leaning on common design choices like “aged” lume, the brand seems to bring to life the types of fun hues that colored products of all kinds in the 1960s and ’70s, but which are rarely found on watches today. The newest such colorful Zodiac Super Sea Wolf watches are all about the color blue paired with pops of contrasting shades that make them perfect for sunny summer activities.

The two new versions both feature 40mm steel cases water-resistant to 200m and powered by the STP 3-13 Swiss automatic movement with 44 hours of power reserve — it’s an interesting movement not only because it’s made by Zodiac’s parent, the Fossil Group, but because it’s still found in relatively few watches today.

The two new models are actually from different lines within the Super Sea Wolf family of dive watches, so if you look closely you will notice differences besides the colors. Most notable are the hands and indices. The Zodiac Super Sea Wolf 53 Compression ref. ZO9274 has skeletonized hands with a minute hand that one might describe as “tangerine” in color, and comes on a steel bracelet for a price of $1,395. The blocky hands and indices give the Super Sea Wolf ref. ZO9275 paired with sporty red highlights and a rubber strap an even more retro feel, with a price of $1,095.
