The Apple Watch Series 4 is the cheapest it has ever been right now. Both Amazon and Best Buy are selling the Series 4 for as low as $299 for 40mm models and $329 for 44mm models (both GPS-only models).
As a little bit of background, Apple released the Apple Watch Series 5 earlier this fall and, in doing so, discontinued the Series 4, presumably because it’s too similar to the new flagship offering.
The newer Apple Watch Series 5 is slightly better than the Series 4. It looks virtually identical but has an always-on display and a faster processor; it also has a new sensor (a magnetometer) that allows it to work as a compass, showing you which way you’re facing while using Apple Maps. The Apple Watch Series 5 is different because it comes in titanium models, although those are significantly more expensive.
